Aletha "Dede" Harvey

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Aletha "Dede" Harvey (nee MacFadyen) of Crapaud PEI at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Thursday January 9, 2025.  Born in Augustine Cove, September 1, 1929. daughter of the late Edward and Priscilla (Carruthers) MacFadyen. Wife of the late Hubert Harvey.

Survived by children, Heather (Eric) Dixon, Harley Harvey (Prince George BC),  Doug (Susan) Harvey, Dale (Joanne) Harvey and Andrew (Tina) Harvey.  Predeceased by daughter Linda (Stephen) Hardy.  Survived by brother Gerald (Joyce) MaFadyen and Brother-in-law George Nicholson. 

Cherished by grandchildren Tim (Sarah Jane) Dixon, Ellen Hardy, Heidi (Andrew) Lawless, Greg (Stacey) Hardy, Matthew (Tania) Hardy, Cory (Sabrina) Gavin, Danielle Harvey, Robyn (Cory) Arsenault, Nathan (Danielle) Hardy, Victoria Harvey, Megan (Rylan) MacLellan, Mason Harvey, Ethan Harvey (Lauryn Murray) as well as 21 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by siblings Wendell (Grace MacFayden), Eileen (Ray) Hambly, Lorna Nicholson and in laws Charlie (Audrey) Dunsford and Juanita (Willard) Pickering.

Resting at the Davison Funeral Home Kensington for visitation on Wednesday January 15 from 1- 2:30 p.m. followed by the funeral in the Davison Funeral Home Chapel which will be available to view online.  Interment later in the Crapaud People’s Cemetery.  If so desired contributions may be made to South Shore United Church or The Free Church of Scotland, CapeTraverse.
