At the Prince County Hospital Summerside on Monday January 6, 2025 of Gladys A. Stavert formerly of Long River aged 91 years. Born in Long River May 21, 1933 daughter of the late George and Norma (MacKenzie Paynter. Wife of the late Albert Stavert. Mother of Wendell (Linda) Stavert, Reta Bernard, Willa (Floyd) Costain, Joan (Garth) MacKenzie, Gary Stavert, and Sharon Stavert.
Grandmother of 14 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren.
Sister of Brenda Baglole. Sister-in-law of Margaret Paynter, Olive Jollimore, Leota (Keith) Dykeman, Lois Daley and Elmer Cannon. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by her son Lowell Stavert, great granddaughter Kayla Foran-Costain, son-in-law Ivan Bernard, brothers Herbert Paynter and Douglas (Mollie) Paynter, sisters Muriel (Norman) MacRae, Joan (Wesley) Cole, sisters-in-law Pearl Cannon, Edythe (James) Brown, Ruth (Robert) Mountain and Jean Paynter and brothers-in-law Hugh Baglole, Walter (Mae) Stavert, Vernon Paynter, Robert Jollimore and Bill Daley.
Resting at the Davison Funeral Home, Kensington for visitation on Wednesday from 1:30- 2:30 p.m. followed by the funeral service in the Davison Funeral Home Chapel which will be available to view online. Interment in Geddie Memorial Cemetery, Spring Brook. Family Flowers Only. If so desired contributions may be made to the Geddie Memorial Cemetery Fund.
