Donnie was a
builder, an entrepreneur, a horse lover and most of all loved to sit
and share stories with people about the good ol days and always had a
joke to tell. Donnie moved to the States in his twenties and was a
successful carpenter but always loved his annual road trip each summer
to the Island visiting with family & friends. When it started
to get colder on the Island, we would often hear him say "I
hear the Mason Dixon line calling my name!"
Donnie’s "home away from home" was his
cabin in Tennessee, where he enjoyed spending much of his time.
If so
desired, memorial donations may be made to the South Granville
Cemetery Fund. There are no arrangements planned at this
time.
