Helen Myra White (nee Field) Age 91 of Bedeque, Prince Edward Island Born Oct. 24th, 1933 in Cook’s Harbour, Newfoundland and passed peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Dec. 31st, 2024 at Andrews of Summerside, Prince Edward Island Daughter of James John Field and Violet Mae Field (nee Hoffe), both deceased, of Daniel’s Harbour, Newfoundland Beloved Spouse of Peter White, predeceased in 2006, born in New Perlican, Newfoundland She leaves to mourn her living children: Glenda Myra O’Brien (Patrick) of Venice, Florida Karen Ann Quinn (Joseph) of Riverview, New Brunswick Stephen Peter White (Janet) of Cornwall, Prince Edward Island John Mark White (Cathy) of Summerside, Prince Edward Island and; Her eldest daughter, predeceased in 2024, Sandra Shelly Bergeron (Jean-Claude) of Clearland, Nova Scotia She is survived by her older sister, Mildred Jane Bennett (Trevor) of Irishtown, Newfoundland and her older brother, Cyril George Field (Chantal, deceased) of Wallaceburg, Ontario. Predeceased by her eldest sister Marjorie Julia Robson (Robert "Scotty", deceased) of Corner Brook, Newfoundland Helen was proud "Nan" or "Nanny" to 13 grandchildren: Nicolas James Bergeron of Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island Alexandre Phillippe Bergeron (Sophie Edell) of Woburn, Quebec Liam Patrick O’Brien (Conor Walsh) of Toronto, Ontario Kelvin John O’Brien (Robyn) of Ottawa, Ontario Connor James O’Brien (Leah) of Whitby, Ontario Lauren Aislinn Quinn Glenen (Tyler) of Dartmouth, Nova Scotia Elliott Ryan Quinn of Riverview, New Brunswick Aidan Joseph Quinn of Moncton, New Brunswick Mark Stephen White of Cornwall, Prince Edward Island Brayden Peter White of Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island Katie Nicole White (Katie Snowdon) of Stratford, Prince Edward Island Emily Charlotte White (Colton Perry) of Summerside, Prince Edward Island Jillian Grace White (Nathan DeHaan) of Long Creek, Prince Edward Island Helen’s ("Gigi") dearly loved 6 great grand-children: Beckett Owen Glenen and Parker Lily Glenen of Dartmouth, Nova Scotia Aileen Louise O’Brien and Callum James O’Brien of Ottawa, Ontario Oscar David O’Brien and Summer Lynne O’Brien of Whitby, Ontario.
Visitation for Helen will be at the Davison Funeral Home at 7 Sunset Drive in Kensington, Prince Edward Island from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm on Tuesday, January 7th, 2025. Her Celebration of Life and Funeral will be at the Bedeque United Church, 1230 Callbeck St., Bedeque, Prince Edward Island on Wednesday, January 8th, 2025 at 11:00 am, immediately followed by lunch in the Church Hall. Donations in Helen’s memory can be made to the Prince County Hospital Foundation in Summerside or the Bedeque United Church in Bedeque, Prince Edward Island.
