H. Elaine Somers

At the Prince County Hospital in Summerside, on Sunday December 1, 2024 of Helen Elaine Somers (Nee McKenna) of Borden-Carleton aged 75 years.  Born in Mount Tryon, July 9, 1949. Beloved wife of Gerald Somers. Mother of Darren (Lori) Somers and Cory (Sarah) Somers.  Beloved Grandmother to, Ethan, Trinity, Lucas and Ryan.  Sister of Emily and Elizabeth and their families in Belleville Ont. Sister-in-law of Anna (Lowell) Rogers.  Also survived by several nieces and nephews. 

Predeceased by her parents Frank and Florence (Matheson) McKenna, sisters Lillian and Carol Jean, brothers Ronnie and George, father-in-law and mother-in-law Ivan and Hazel (Paynter) Somers.

 Elaine (Nan-Nan) loved her grandchildren more than anyone will ever know, she was always their biggest supporter in every way that they needed, but most of all, was their loudest cheering section at all of their hockey games.  She loved spending her time with the seniors at their homes in Borden-Carleton, helping them when she could.

Anybody that knew Mom (Elaine) loved her like one of their own.  She could always be found shopping, which she loved, and absolutely had to get her hair done every Friday. She will be missed by all her neighbours and by anyone that ever knew her.
