Curt T. Evans

1972-2024

Curt T. Evans

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our son Curt Troy Evans; he began his earthly journey May 4, 1972 in Calgary Alberta, and finished September 22, 2024 at the V.G. Hospital in Halifax after a courageous three-year battle with Cancer.

Curt is survived by his one and only love Lisa (Sampson) Evans, his two children who he adored, Kaylee and Jacob, his parents Don and Carol Evans, his father and mother in law Lloyd and Glenda (Rhynold) Sampson, brother Darrell (Marlene) Evans, nephews Zachary Evans, Carson Evans and niece Maren Evans, Also survived by his Uncles Wayne (Diana) Doiron, John (Helen) Doiron, Rick (Tracey) Doiron, also his aunts Shirley (Paul) Whiteway, Alice (Bernard Evans) (Ross) Reeves, Lorna (Urban) Gaudin, Pauline (John) Cox, Irene (Ron) MacLean, Inez Doiron, Marina Doiron and many special cousins who ne loved spending time with.

Predeceased by his Grandparents John (Jack) and Catherine (Kate) (MacLellan) Evans and Aubin and Bertha (Rust) Doiron also his brother in law Lloyd Sampson and cousins Winston Evans, Anne Whiteway, his uncles Harold Evans, Ron Doiron and Fred Doiron,

Curt lived a full and adventurous life, and chose his life adventures very carefully, as well as his friends over the years; he chose the best, loyal, adventurous and like minded like himself. He graduated Kensington High School and chose military life where he got to see the world while serving his country in war and peace and did it with amazing pride. But if there was any talk of those adventures it was not about the countries he saw, but mostly about the humanitarian work that was done that he was most proud of, such as peace keeping in war torn countries, bringing aid in the aftermath of natural disasters, saving countless lives at sea, and much more. He did this never thinking of the danger he was in but all for the deep compassion he had for his fellow man, Curt has left a huge mark in his short life span; his purpose here on earth is complete.
