At the Wedgewood Manor Summerside on Tuesday August 22, 2023 of Vernon H. Stetson, formerly of South Freetown aged 95 years. Born in South Freetown February 12, 1928 son of the late Willard & Eva (Drummond) Stetson. Husband of Hazel (Heffel) Stetson.
Father of Beverley Semple, Carlene (Carson) Ricketts, Garland (Joanne) Stetson and Grant (Tracy) Stetson.
Grandfather of Leigh Semple, Paige Ricketts, Candace MacAdam, Sarah Stetson, Jesse Stetson, Leah Collins, Emma Stetson, Andrew Stetson and Spencer Stetson. Great-grandfather of Lukas Stetson, Grayson and Addison MacAdam, Hunter Semple and Peyton and T.J Collins. Brother-in-law of Agnes Hardy, Mary (Eric) Day, Eileen Heffel Taylor, Joyce Heffel and Doug (Marg) Clarke. Also remembered by several nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by his infant brother Claude, brother Alvin (Fausta) Stetson, sister Marion (Everett) Allen, sister-in-law Myrna Clarke and brothers-in-law Linus (Ferne) Heffell, Waldron Heffel, Wesley Heffel and Ralph Hardy.
Resting at the Davison Funeral Home Kensington no visitation or funeral service by personal request. A public graveside service will be held Tuesday August 29, 2023 at 2 p.m. in Freetown People’s Cemetery. If so desired contributions may be made to the Freetown United Church or Freetown People’s Cemetery.
