Gladys Theresa (Reilly) MacKinnon

1944-2021

The peaceful passing of Glad MacKinnon occurred at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Saturday, October 2, 2021, with her loving husband of 52 years, Frank, by her side.

Formerly of O’Leary, she was a daughter of the late Lawrence and Denise (Gallant) Reilly. Also left to mourn are brothers Larry and David; sisters Betty MacNeill and Esther (Wayne) Miller; many nieces and nephews; Wendy Ross, the daughter she never had and Dwaine Miller, the son she never had; sisters-in-law Bernice and Gloria Reilly, Margaret Ann, Kay, Ann, Christine MacKinnon; brother-in-law Joe MacKinnon.

Predeceased by brothers Gervase, Francis (Hank), Phalen and Menzel Reilly; sister Jean Nicholson; brothers-in-law Claude Nicholson, Lorne MacNeill, Bobby and Jimmy MacKinnon; sisters-in-law Marge Reilly and Sr. Arlene MacKinnon.

Glad enjoyed her involvement with Wedgewood Ladies Auxiliary, Abegweit Sports for the Physically Challenged, PEI Chapter M.D. Later in life she acquired exceptional computer skills, which allowed her to communicate with family and friends. Music and song was her greatest joy and Glad relished the many concerts that she and Frank attended.

Due to Covid-19 restrictions there will be no visitation. Cremation has taken place under the care and guidance of Davison Funeral Home, Kensington. A funeral mass will be held at St. Anthony’s Church, Bloomfield, at a later date. Interment at a later date. If so desired, donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
