Phyllis. J. Clark
1933-2023
At the Prince County Hospital Summerside on Tuesday February 14, 2023 of Phyllis Joyce Clark of Summerside aged 89 years. Born in South Freetown, August 10, 1933 Daughter of late Thomas and Doris (Simmons) Drummond. Beloved wife of Brad Clark.
Mother of Vicki Joy Clark (Robin Hicks), Lisa (Troy) Burleigh and Myles (Shelley) Clark. Much loved grandmother to Devon Clark. Stepgrandmother of Nate Hicks.
Sister of Lowell Drummond and Ross (Laurie) Drummond. Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by her brother Sidney (Marion) Drummond and sister-in-law Louise Drummond.
From a young age, Phyllis exhibited a strong work ethic both at home and work. Having taught school in her earlier years, she moved on to start a family and a new business with her husband. Phyllis was an honest and hard working woman. Family was everything to her and she especially adored her grandson. Her mobility was restricted in later years and while she could not work in her beloved flower gardens, she enjoyed the many visits, calls and letters from family, friends, motel guests and former students.
A special thanks to the home care workers who provided excellent support and friendship over the years.
Resting at the Davison Funeral Home Kensington. No visitation by personal request.
