Ellis R. Burgoyne

Peacefully at the Prince County Hospital Summerside, with family by his side holding his hand, on Saturday August 13, 2022 of Ellis R. Burgoyne of  Fountain Road aged 92 years.  Born on Fountain Road, November 11, 1929, son of the late John & Annie (Somers) Burgoyne. Husband of the late Ruth (Ball) Burgoyne.  Father of  William (Patricia), Brookfield; Marion (Lawrence) Hutchison, Alberta; George (deceased);  Russell (Bonnie), Alberta; Gloria (Doug), Saskatchewan; Roland (Bev), Alberta; Nancy (Randel) Hamel, Ontario and Lawrence, Baltic.  Grandfather of Keith (Pam), Keir, Blaine (Alyssa) and Elyn (Patrick).  Great-grandfather to Jasper, Elliott, Paige, Slade, Cayley and Remi.

Brother of Horace (Ruby) Burgoyne -Deceased,  Layton (Jean) Burgoyne, Elaine Burgoyne (Raymond - Deceased), Mildred (Elmer) Heater -Deceased Willis Burgoyne, Jaret (Joslin) Burgoyne,  Irma (Danny) Nisbet, Lloyd Burgoyne, Lorne (Audrey) Burgoyne, Wilna - deceased (Gordon Toombs) and Wendell (Deborah) Burgoyne.   Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Resting at the Davison Funeral Home Kensington. No visitation or funeral service.   A private committal service will be held in the  North Granville Cemetery.  If so desired contributions may be made to The Prince County Hospital Foundation or the St. John’s Presbyterian Church.
