Elizabeth Anne (Beth) Ramsay

    After a courageous battle with cancer, Elizabeth Anne (Beth) Ramsay  passed away peacefully with her loving family  by her side, at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside on August 6th,2020                                 

     Born in Moncton, N.B. Aug 22nd,1956, she was the only daughter of the  late R. Milton and Marjorie (Daly) Wallace of Moncton. Survived by her loving husband of 43 years, J. Kenneth (Ken) Ramsay. Loving mother of Mary (Bryan) Ramsay Irving, Margaret (Tony) Ramsay Jung, and Jim Ramsay (Amanda Whidden).

    Loving remembered by sisters-in-law Norma (Carl) Thompson, Elaine (Paul) Chessman, and brothers-in-law Carl Ramsay, Al Ramsay (Mary Curran), Don (Wilma) Ramsay and Chris (Gaelyne) Ramsay.  Also survived by well an aunt Mary Jenkins of Sussex, N,B, and cousins, Susan (Jack) Bromley, Cathy (Rev. Kevin) Borthwick, Cliff (Sandy) Boyd, Scott (Chantal) Boyd, Patricia Duffy, Linda Hocking, Brenda O'Flaherty and numerous nieces and nephews, as well as many special friends.

     Predeceased by her mother-in-law Jessie Ramsay, father-in-law Keith Ramsay and sister-in -law Roberta Ramsay.

     Of her 33 years as a pharmacist Beth was well known in the community of Kensington where she and her husband co owned Ramsay Pharmacy for 27 years.

     Beth loved travelling, exploring other cultures, and especially taking in a number of trips with Habitat for Humanity Global Village to help others less fortunate. She will be sadly missed by the circle of friends whom she met and stayed in contact with from these trips.

     Special thank-you to the caring physicians, nurses and support staff of the Cancer Treatment Centre, emergency department, surgical and medical wings of the Prince County Hospital and to Dr Peter MacKean who looked after Beth so well for so many years.

       Arrangements entrusted to the Davison Funeral Home, Kensington. No visitation or funeral by personal request. A private family burial service will take place at Peoples Cemetery, Malpeque.

      A celebration of Beth's life will be available to view online after 5pm Saturday, August 21.

      If so desired contributions may be made to the Oncology Unit of the Prince County Hospital or the Kensington Lions Food Bank.
