M. Wanda Stewart

It is with heavy hearts we announce the death of Wanda Stewart, of Kensington, in her 87th year.  The death occurred at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside on Sunday May 3, 2020. Wanda was born in Freetown, PEI on June 29, 1933, to the late Walter and Elizabeth (nee Sullivan) Curley. Beloved and devoted wife of the Late Fenner Stewart. Wanda was a loving mother of Scott (Barb), Bonnie (Isaac) Schurman and Fenner (Jessica).  Caring and loving grandmother to four grandchildren, Jeremy (Jill) Schurman, Jonathan Schurman, Emilie (Naythan) Praught, Malary Schurman and two dear great grandchildren Julia and Mya Praught.  She will forever be lovingly remembered as Gram.

 Sister of the late Pat (Irma) Curley and Boyd (Lorna) Curley.  Dear sister-in-law to Bertha Weatherbee, Ruth Gallant, and Wanda MacMurdo. A special aunt, friend, and teacher to many.

 Predeceased by brothers and sisters-in-law Bessie Jonsson, Waldo Stewart, Jean Robertson, Julia Rawn, Herbert Stewart, Rebecca Jessome, Irving Stewart and Annette MacLeod.

 The family would like to thank the staff at Palliative Care Unit at Prince County Hospital and Clinton View Lodge for all their care and support. 

Resting at the Davison Funeral Home Kensington.  Due to Covid 19 restrictions no public visitation will be held.   Funeral Mass will be available to view online at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, May 5th with Facebook Live under the name Francis Allan Jay and will be available later by a link on the funeral home’s website.  Interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery Indian River.  If so, desired contributions may be made to the Kensington Food Bank or The Heart and Stroke Foundation.
